HireStrategy.com Forms e-Recruitment Practice for New Media Professionals
WASHINGTON, DC, August 16, 2000
HireStrategy.com ("HireStrategy"), an e-recruitment firm serving Internet economy businesses and professionals, announced today the addition of a New Media practice, rounding out its existing recruiting practices in Technology, Finance and Accounting, and Sales and Marketing.
HireStrategy Vice President John Qudeen will head the New Media practice. Qudeen worked in graphic design before becoming a technology recruiter. At HireStrategy, Qudeen's focus has been on identifying executive management talent - CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CTOs, CIOs and vice presidents - for companies building their e-commerce business.
HireStrategy's New Media practice will focus on helping start-ups, fast-growth companies and established companies fill their urgent needs for Web designers, Internet marketers, graphic artists, interactive marketers and other New media professionals. The company formed its new practice in response to increased demand in recent months, and plans to build a dedicated team of New Media recruiters.
"New Media professionals have high impact on building the Internet economy because they integrate and apply the converging disciplines of business, design and technology in their organizations," says Paul Villella, HireStrategy President and CEO, in his announcement at the Fourth Annual NetExpo Washington at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
"We have been working with New Media professionals from the beginning, finding them great jobs that match their highly sought-after skills and career strategies," says Qudeen. "We find some of the best and brightest people in business today are working in New Media. New media professionals are the people responsible for driving Internet content and business strategy within their organizations," he says.
According to Forrester Research, the number of New Media specialists is expected to grow tenfold between 1998 and 2002. A growing number of the 500,000 technology workers in the Greater Washington area work in New Media jobs. These include writers, editors and Internet content producers; web architects, developers, designers and administrators; Internet strategists and financial analysts, and interactive marketing consultants.
HireStrategy's Web site (www.hirestrategy.com) offers valuable career development resources and tools for candidates and proven recruitment and retention strategies for companies. "HireStrategy's innovative approach combines the power of the Internet with personalized consulting," says Villella. "We offer technology-based, customized services for companies, for candidates, for people interested in developing their career strategy and for others interested in finding out more about their futures in the New Economy."
