Job Description:

Addison Group is partnering with a growing organization in Charlotte to identify an experienced HR Generalist for a 6+ month contract opportunity. This role will support day-to-day HR operations while providing hands-on support across payroll, benefits, HRIS administration, reporting, compliance, and employee relations.

The HR Generalist will serve as a key HR partner to employees and managers, helping maintain consistent HR practices and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations while ensuring consistency, compliance, and accuracy
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and support payroll audits, garnishments, deductions, and bonus payouts
  • Administer employee benefits including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HRIS updates for hires, changes, and terminations
  • Generate HR reports and support compliance initiatives, audits, and reporting requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager HR-related inquiries
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and performance management
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to HR systems and operations
  • Partner cross-functionally with leadership and internal departments to support business needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including payroll and benefits administration
  • Demonstrated ability to own and manage HR processes independently
  • Hands-on experience with UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systems strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR compliance
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
