Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Vice President of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and strategic decision support across a multi-site healthcare organization. This executive-level role will partner closely with senior leadership to provide data-driven insights, build scalable financial models, and support key initiatives including growth strategy, acquisitions, and operational optimization. The ideal candidate is both analytically strong and highly forward-thinking, with the ability to leverage modern financial tools, AI platforms, and data systems to enhance decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis Leadership
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support strategic initiatives and capital planning.
- Deliver executive-level reporting, variance analysis, and financial insights to leadership and board stakeholders.
- Build and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs across financial and operational metrics.
Strategic & Operational Partnership
- Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance across multiple locations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and cost structure while maintaining service quality.
- Support strategic initiatives including growth planning, expansion efforts, and potential acquisitions.
- Assist with financial due diligence and post-integration performance tracking for new business opportunities.
Data, Systems & Innovation
- Leverage modern analytics tools, ERP systems, and AI-driven platforms to enhance financial analysis and forecasting capabilities.
- Work with large datasets and relational systems to build scalable reporting solutions.
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate and improve financial processes using technology.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a small FP&A team, fostering analytical rigor and accountability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, revenue cycle, HR, and clinical leadership teams.
- Serve as a key financial advisor to executive leadership, providing clear and actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or similar advanced credential preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, including senior leadership responsibilities.
- Strong background in multi-site healthcare, dental support organizations, physician practices, or related healthcare services strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business intelligence.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or growth initiatives.
- Strong leadership experience managing or mentoring FP&A teams.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, Power Query, etc.)
- Power BI or similar data visualization tools
- SQL or relational database experience
- ERP systems experience (NetSuite strongly preferred)
- Exposure to NetSuite Planning & Budgeting tools (or similar platforms)
- Experience leveraging AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in financial workflows
Additional Details:
- Direct-hire executive leadership role.
- Hybrid schedule: onsite 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).
- Standard business hours approximately 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
- Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and partners closely with executive leadership.
