Job Description:
Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify an experienced HR Generalist to provide interim support during a transitional period. This individual will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, recruiting efforts, and employee experience initiatives. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain HR systems including HRIS and applicant tracking tools
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities such as scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and supporting hiring managers
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle experience
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations
- Assist with payroll processing and respond to benefits-related inquiries in partnership with internal teams
- Support administration of employee leave programs including FMLA and related compliance tracking
- Contribute to employee engagement efforts including events, recognition programs, and internal communications
- Partner with leadership on process improvements and HR-related projects
- Provide general HR guidance and support to employees and managers as needed
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience with strong emphasis on recruiting and onboarding
- Experience working in education or nonprofit environments preferred
- Proficiency with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and coordinating high-volume onboarding
- Knowledge of payroll practices, employee benefits, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA)
- Strong communication skills with an approachable and adaptable work style
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
