About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well-established organization in the employee benefits and healthcare administration space, to hire a Claims Processor/Customer Service Representative. This is a great opportunity for candidates with medical billing, claims processing, or healthcare administrative experience looking to grow within a stable organization.
Job Description:
The Claims Processor will support day-to-day medical claims operations while assisting members and providers with benefit-related questions. This role involves reviewing and processing healthcare claims, verifying eligibility, explaining benefit coverage, and resolving claim-related inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, evaluate, and process healthcare claims according to internal guidelines and benefit plans
- Handle incoming calls from members and providers regarding eligibility, coverage details, and claim questions
- Process claims related to HRA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other benefit programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely claim resolution
- Enter and update claim/member information within internal systems
- Research and resolve discrepancies related to claims, billing, or coverage information
- Provide clear and professional customer support while managing multiple priorities throughout the day
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in medical billing, claims processing, medical administration, or healthcare front office support preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
- Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding preferred
- Understanding of coordination of benefits (COB) concepts is a plus
- Strong data entry and computer navigation skills
- Experience using healthcare systems such as Epic or similar EMR/claims platforms preferred
- Ability to communicate benefit information clearly to members and providers
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 30-minute lunch break plus two 15-minute breaks
- Contract-to-Hire opportunity
